A Blueprint for Business
How do you bring an idea to market? For Ashley Galanti BA ’21, BS ’22, PhD ’25 that question took shape from her experience growing up with an epileptic mother and brother. In high school, after witnessing her brother fall unconscious from a seizure, Galanti decided she would help give her family and millions of others advance warning of seizures.
In her first year at UGA, Galanti brought her technology to the Idea Accelerator program, where it evolved into the first non-invasive wearable device for early seizure prediction. She earned a certificate in entrepreneurship alongside her two bachelor’s degrees and completed her doctorate in biomedical engineering in three years while simultaneously growing AMG Detection. Nothing stands between her ideas and execution.
