THE FIRST INSTITUTIONAL EVENT I COORDINATED WAS THE DEDICATION OF THE COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATE RESEARCH CENTER, AND IT HAS BEEN FASCINATING TO WITNESS THE GROWTH OF THEIR RESEARCH AND THE CREATION OF THE CENTER FOR MOLECULAR MEDICINE. THE RESEARCH THAT UGA’S PROFESSORS AND SCIENTISTS PRODUCE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ALL OF US.

Elizabeth Beckett has found a home, a career, and a cause at the University of Georgia. Her nine-person team coordinates events ranging from Commencements and groundbreakings to smaller gatherings that help cultivate lifelong relationships between UGA and the Bulldog family. A donor since 2004, she has given to the Georgia Fund for six consecutive years and is particularly interested in UGA’s expanding research footprint.
