Senior Deputy Athletic Director
After the pandemic abruptly ended the NCAA’s 2020 spring and summer sports seasons, UGA Athletic Association administrators like Darrice Griffin, along with coaches and support staff, worked hard to bring back Georgia Bulldogs athletics. To compete at a championship level and keep teammates safe, student-athletes made even greater sacrifices than usual. And, as always, the Bulldog faithful did their part. Griffin says UGA could not have maintained the student-athlete experience without the generosity of our donors and the Bulldog Nation.
These have been trying times across the nation and particularly for our community. Sports have the power to bring people together, to add light, joy, and peace when things are tough. When you consider all that, I think the Bulldog community needed a reason to cheer and a common goal to rally around to lift our spirits.
