UGA alumna Kathelen V. Amos and the Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation funded the largest outright donation in the history of the University of Georgia School of Law. The $3 million gift will create the First-Start Scholars Program through which first-generation college graduates will receive a partial-tuition scholarship for law school as well as a professional development stipend. In addition, the Amos Family Foundation has generously supported UGA’s Terry College of Business as well as the Odum School of Ecology.
Dan and I are excited to support first-generation college students through our gift to the law school. We are humbled by their courageous stories of personal sacrifice and inspired by their dreams. We are exceedingly grateful for our UGA educations and proud that these students in our UGA family will have financial support for their graduate education.
