Loch Johnson

Regents’ Professor of Public and International Affairs, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor

As geopolitics have shifted over the last four decades, Loch Johnson has become a leading scholar on diplomacy and intelligence. He has authored more than 200 articles and 30 books on national security. He retired in May after 40 years at UGA.

Advanced research, certainly including my work, is possible only through the generosity of donors supporting these efforts. Society—whether at the international, national, or state level—depends on those good citizens who champion UGA’s search for new knowledge and understanding.
