John Neely

BBA ’26
FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT
"There are so many ways students can grow and lead at UGA, both in the classroom and after we graduate. I'm determined to pay it forward and become someone who can always give back to the Bulldog community."
For John Neely, choosing the University of Georgia came down to one thing: the people. His first impression of a driven and connected campus community stuck with him, and he quickly became one of UGA’s most passionate student leaders.
As the Student Government Association president, he focuses on student needs—from food security to student wellness. He champions awareness and support for initiatives like Let All the Big Dawgs Eat Food Scholarship, while also encouraging students to take advantage of UGA’s wide range of professional development opportunities.
John is a Jere W. Morehead Honors College student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with dual majors in finance and management information systems through the Terry College of Business. A proud Georgian and advocate for student success, John is just as passionate in his classes at the Delta Innovation Hub as he is in the student section of Sanford Stadium.
