PRESIDENT
TERRY FAMILY FOUNDATION
"The Terry Family Foundation’s commitment to UGA’s pursuit of academic excellence and innovation is rooted in the legacy of our esteemed founders, Herman and Mary Virginia Terry. Their vision was to empower students to achieve their highest potential. We are thrilled to continue supporting the University we all love."
In 2024, the Terry Family Foundation committed $2 million to support the School of Medicine. They also created a $15 million endowment to support and name the Risk Management and Insurance Program at the Terry College of Business for C. Herman Terry. Thanks to the Terry Foundation’s support, the program will expand its offerings as the largest U.S. undergraduate program of its kind, with more resources for faculty research and experiential learning opportunities for students.
Foundation President Betsy Cox reflects a similar spirit in her involvement and personal contributions. She has supported multiple campus initiatives, including as a founding member of Georgia Women Give and in creating an endowed scholarship at the School of Law. She has also documented a gift in her estate plan. She is currently serving as a Trustee of the UGA Foundation and a member of the Board of Visitors at UGA Law.
